Envisioning a Greater Fulton (2019)

When urban renewal ripped through Richmond’s East End, Fulton’s historic Main Street was lost to the ages. The surviving commercial center is well-located for walkability, but retains an auto-centric design character, with deep street-facing parking lot setbacks.
FORM Coalition partnered with Innovate Fulton to capture a community vision for a thriving commercial district in the heart of the Greater Fulton neighborhoods of Richmond’s East End.
Building on this effort, a group community partners worked to secure funding and implementation support for a green street design for Government Road. The project was completed in 2025.
